A member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Olufunke Comforter Adeniji Olajide, has declared her total loyalty to Governor Seyi Makinde, dismissing allegations linking her to any plot to destabilise the state.
Olajide, who represents Ibadan North Constituency I and chairs the House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, made this known in a statement released on Tuesday in Ibadan through her media team.
She said it became necessary to address what she described as “misleading insinuations and calculated attempts” by certain individuals to create tension within the political space in Oyo State.
According to the lawmaker, claims suggesting the existence of a hidden agenda to disrupt the peace and stability of the state are entirely false and unfounded.
“I wish to categorically state that I have no connection whatsoever with any such plot. I have neither been approached nor involved in any discussion, meeting, or arrangement intended to undermine the government,” she said.
Olajide emphasised that her position remains firm and unwavering, stressing her commitment to peace, unity, and inclusive development across Oyo State.
She also distanced herself from any group or individual seeking to create division between the legislative and executive arms of government, describing such actions as contrary to the collective interest of the people.
Reaffirming her dedication to responsible representation, the lawmaker pledged continued support for policies and initiatives that promote the welfare of her constituents, particularly in the areas of women empowerment and social inclusion.
