The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its timetable for the 2026 primary elections ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to the schedule, presidential primaries will hold on May 16, while governorship primaries are fixed for May 23, 2026.
The party also announced steep nomination fees, with presidential aspirants required to pay ₦100 million, governorship candidates ₦50 million, Senate aspirants ₦20 million, and House of Representatives hopefuls ₦10 million.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the 2027 general elections for January 16 (presidential and National Assembly) and February 6 (governorship and state assemblies).
APC says sale of forms will run from April 25 to May 2, while screenings and primaries will take place across May 2026. The party insists the process will be transparent and in line with internal democracy guidelines.
