Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State have thrown their weight behind Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli as their preferred candidate for the state’s forthcoming governorship election.
The endorsement was announced at the Oyo APC Leadership Summit held at the Bible Guest House Hall in Ibadan, where party leaders convened to strategise ahead of the polls.
Prominent figures at the summit, including Ayo Adeseun and Fatai Ibikunle, openly backed Alli, describing him as a seasoned and competent leader capable of driving development in the state.
Stakeholders at the meeting expressed a united front, noting that the decision aligns with the directive of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and reflects a growing consensus within the party.
The summit attracted participants from across Oyo State, signalling a coordinated push by the APC to consolidate support and strengthen its position ahead of the governorship election.
