The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin, has sent warm birthday felicitations to the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, as he marks his 58th birthday today, December 25, 2025.
Ogundoyin described the Governor as “a Christmas gift not only to Oyo State but to Nigeria,” applauding his people-driven leadership, clarity of vision, and consistent delivery in governance.
In a congratulatory message, the Speaker said that the coincidence of Governor Makinde’s birthday with Christmas is deeply symbolic. According to him, the Governor’s life of service continues to reflect impact, sacrifice, and tangible progress across the state.
Speaking on the Governor’s record, Ogundoyin noted that at 58, Makinde has remained focused, calm under pressure, and committed to results. He cited strides in infrastructure, education, healthcare, workers’ welfare, and youth development as clear indicators of performance-based leadership that has strengthened public trust in government.
The Speaker also highlighted the healthy working relationship between the Executive and Legislative arms, stressing that Governor Makinde’s leadership style has fostered cooperation, transparency, and mutual respect — a development he described as critical to stable governance.
