The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Oyo State, will commence the distribution of newly printed Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) across all 33 Local Government Area offices in the state from October 9, 2026.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the state, Professor Adeniran Tella, disclosed this in a statement, saying the exercise will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily, excluding weekends and public holidays.
According to Tella, the exercise is for newly registered voters, those who transferred their polling units, and voters whose PVCs were lost or damaged during the last Continuous Voter Registration exercise. He stressed that collection of the cards must be done personally and cannot be undertaken by proxy.
The REC urged eligible registrants to take advantage of the exercise ahead of the forthcoming general elections. He also disclosed that the Commission still has a large number of uncollected PVCs from the 2023 General Election in the state.
