The Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, Arusa 1 has confirmed the release of the prospective National Youth Service Corps members who were abducted in Imo State.
The confirmation was conveyed by the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, during a telephone conversation with the Olubadan at about 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
The development brings relief to the families, friends and associates of the prospective corps members who had been abducted while travelling to their orientation camp.
The Olubadan Palace did not provide further details on the circumstances surrounding their release or the condition of the victims as of the time of the statement.
The confirmation was contained in a press release signed by Chief Adeola Oloko, Media Aide to the Olubadan of Ibadanland.
