Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has announced the death of her mother, who passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, after a prolonged illness.
The actress announced the loss in a statement shared on her Instagram page on Monday, October 19, expressing grief over the death of her mother.
Adunni, in the emotional tribute, said her mother died after a long battle with an undisclosed illness, adding that she had submitted to the will of Almighty Allah.
“With a heavy heart and submission to the will of Almighty Allah, I announce the passing of my beloved mother, who returned to her Creator after a long battle with illness,” she wrote.
The actress also disclosed that details of the funeral arrangements would be communicated in due course.
Adunni, whose full name is Adunni Adewale, is a Nigerian-American actress born in New York to a Yoruba Nigerian father and a German-Irish mother.
