The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, has dismissed claims linking him to any plan to remove Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde from office.
In a statement signed and issued by the media aide to the monarch, Chief Adeola Oloko on Tuesday, the monarch described the allegation as false, stressing that traditional rulers have no constitutional powers to impeach elected officials.
Oba Ladoja questioned the credibility of the claims, noting that they come barely 24 hours after former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose alleged a separate plot against the Olubadan.
He described the conflicting narratives as misleading and urged the public not to drag the traditional institution into partisan politics.
