Adeniyi Johnson Raises Alarm Over Online Impersonation Scheme

Nollywood actor Adeniyi Johnson has raised concerns over an online impersonation scheme, warning fans and the public to be wary of fraudulent individuals using his identity.

The actor made the disclosure in a post shared on his Instagram page on Tuesday, revealing that a person reportedly based in the United Kingdom has been posing as him in online conversations.

Johnson shared a screenshot of a chat with the suspected impersonator, stressing that he has no connection to the individual or any activities linked to them.

He clarified that the phone number being used by the impersonator does not belong to him and urged the public to disregard any communication from the source.

“I do not know this person and do not represent whatever he or she stands for,” he stated.

The actor further noted that he does not currently operate through a personal manager or assistant for business dealings, dismissing any claims suggesting otherwise.

He warned that any messages, offers, or business proposals made in his name through such channels should be treated as fraudulent and ignored.

Johnson’s warning adds to growing concerns over identity theft and impersonation scams targeting public figures, particularly on social media platforms.
